Weddings
Over the past 15 years hundreds of couples looking for a point of difference for their wedding have entrusted James Wilson with the music for their big day.
James was absolutely amazing, I honestly believe that he made my entire wedding. He has so much charm and charisma and he is so so talented. Nothing on the night was a problem for him – our wedding was a very relaxed one and he was just perfect for it.
Cheri Galpin Wedding – 2013
James’ unique stage set up will both intrigue and entertain your guests.
From the moment he played everyone’s mouths dropped… 🙂 I remember reading a review of James on your website and a bride said ‘everyone talked more about him than me’ and I giggled and thought sweet..but yeah right!! Well, who knew that was so true!!!
Naomi Watson Wedding – 2012
Whether you are after intimate music for a ceremony, laid back tunes over dinner or a livelier up beat set to fill the dance floor at the end of the night, James’ multi instrument set up has all bases covered.
James will touch base with you well before the event to cover all aspects of the live music performance. Select from his Song List to ensure you get the music you want to hear. If there are any songs that are not on the list then James is more than happy to learn them for you.
Our “big moment” songs were flawlessly placed amongst your playlist we did not have to worry for a second that the song would not start up at the appropriate moment, and speaking of your playlist it was perfect!! So many of our friends and family commented how great the music was and that was something that was really important to us so thank you 🙂
Danielle & Clint Boothey Wedding – 2011
James also provides a professional DJ service so that when he’s not performing there will always be music being played.
As with the live music James will also liaise with you prior to the event to ensure that the DJ section of the night caters to your taste. Tell him what you want played and just as important what you don’t want played.
In terms of dealing with him, it was effortless – nothing was a problem. He learnt our ‘walking down the aisle’ song and every set (both live and DJ)) was exactly what we were after. Honestly, it couldn’t have gone better and we could not have been more pleased.

We have nothing but absolutely fantastic feedback regarding James Wilson at our wedding. He was extremely professional, approachable, obliging and most importantly his acoustic sets were perfect!
He was able to fulfil some of our special song requests which made our day perfect.
We had many positive comments from our family and friends and have recommended him to them.
Nick & Rebecca Farrell Wedding – 2015
James was just amazing!!! We have been swamped since the wedding with guests saying how wonderful he was; quite a few have even said he was the best live act they have ever seen. We truly believe he played a big part in making our day so special.
In terms of dealing with him, it was effortless – nothing was a problem. He learnt our ‘walking down the aisle’ song and every set (both live and DJ)) was exactly what we were after. Honestly, it couldn’t have gone better and we could not have been more pleased.
Thank you for all your help in organising the booking; you were really easy to deal with and we really appreciate it.
Jessica & Clayton Smith Wedding – 2015
James was outstanding, we (as were our guests) were blown away with his effort on the night. As well as the interaction before the day, I managed to catch him at a show before the big day, and he took the time to chat to me and one of my groom’s men. We let him run the music, with only a few requests, and his selection of song choice was just what the mood needed.
I cannot express how pleasing it was to have James play at our wedding reception, he went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our night, all the way to the very last song.
Thankyou for all you help in making our day the event it was.
Tom and Tia Gardner wedding – 2015

You had just about everyone up dancing toward the end of the night which is exactly what we had hoped for.

James was amazing. Played requested songs and filed in the gaps with a brilliant mix. So talented. Many of our guests commented on him and asked for his details to play at their functions. We could not have been more happier with him. Everything on our wedding day was fantastic,
Martina Christian Wedding – 2013
James was awesome – he was absolutely perfect, couldn’t have asked for anyone or anything better. We have received rave reviews on our “music man” from so many people – and the brilliant thing is that they span all the age groups and personality types, which is a testament to how versatile his style is.
He worked so well with my MC / DJ and between them they sorted all of the music out and I didn’t have to worry about a think!
I would highly recommend James – if you ever need me to sing his praises, please let me know!
Ali Roots Wedding – 2012

I think all the girls fell in love with you, and all the guys were like this guy is making it hard for the rest of us!! 🙂
You were so great, and the atmosphere was brilliant…. So just wanted to say thank you so much, and we hoped you enjoyed yourself as much as we did!!Renee Lyster Wedding – 2012
James was amazing as always, we were a little worried for a while the bride might have wanted to marry James instead of her fiancee!
Sharon Dale – iKatcher Events (Renee Lyster Wedding Organiser)
We could not have picked anyone better, James was absolutely brilliant and I could not fault him with anything. James helped create a fun and celebratory atmosphere and the reception wouldn’t have been the same without him. I received so many compliments on his performance! We would not hesitate to recommend him to our family and friends!
Tamasen Sheppard Wedding – 2012
What can I say but WOW and thank you to James Wilson. He was truly amazing!! He was perfect!
My guests were blown away and I’ve passed on his info to loads of people and I know he gave out lots of cards.
From the moment he played everyone’s mouths dropped… 🙂 I remember reading a review of James on your website and a bride said “everyone talked more about him than me” and I giggled and thought sweet..but yeah right!! Well, who knew that was so true!!!
He was so fun and cheeky! Even getting Craig and my guest to sing one of my favourite songs to me!! Embarrassing and fantastic all at the same moment.
So thank you!!! He is a star!!Naomi & Craig Saint Wedding – 2012
It was FANTASTIC!! I have just been putting a list together of people I needed to thank and you were on my list to send an email to.
James was perfect for our wedding and we had so many comments from guests on how good he was. Although we weren’t at the platform theatre, railway station as we were off getting photos everyone said he performed great and then at our reception he knew how to involve the crowd and get everyone up and dancing and everyone commented on how good he was and asked where we had found him! Speaking with James in the lead up to the wedding he was great to speak with and nothing was ever of problem.
I would not hesitate in recommending James to friends.
Music can make or break a night and we were so fortunate to have James as he made the night a huge success.
Kelly Piper Wedding – 2012
“James, you’re a legend. Not only are you so easy and great to deal with, you’re an amazing musician who knows how to rock a party. Now I know my friends and family didn’t need a lot of convincing to get on that dance floor but I know it wouldn’t have been as great as it was without you. I had so many comments from all of my guests saying how great you were and I’m still getting them now. My Mum came up to me half way through the night and said ‘see he was definatly worth the money’. I’m also really glad I had you down at the beach for the ceremony, that just worked out perfectly and no one had to worry about pressing play and pause and changing songs etc etc.. it added that special relaxed touch we wanted”.
There ya go hows that for a testimonial.. I meant every word I said though James I am so glad I chose you!
Thanks again for being great and relaxed to deal with. Just what a bride needs 🙂
Kelly Richardson Wedding in Broome – 2012
James – you did an amazing job at the wedding both the ceremony and reception. I know we said it on the night but you really helped make the wedding that much more special with both your talent and professionalism. I know of at least one more wedding coming your way (don’t worry it’s in Fremantle this time!).
Our “big moment” songs were flawlessly placed amongst your playlist we did not have to worry for a second that the song would not start up at the appropriate moment, and speaking of your playlist it was perfect!! So many of our friends and family commented how great the music was and that was something that was really important to us so thank you 🙂Danielle & Clint Boothey Wedding – 2011
‘James certainly did not disappoint. It would be fair to say I recieve more positive comments about James than about how stunning I looked 😉 Perhaps he’s a little toooo good!! But seriously, James came in without any fuss and completely worked the room like a natural. He made the night. I just wish he played in the northern suburbs a bit more…. hint hint.’
Rebecca Wedding – 2011
‘Michelle and I would like to thank you for an awesome night. The vibe was unbelievable and we had so many comments on how good the music was. Once again thanks for making the night such a memorable one and look forward to seeing you play again.’
Eoin and Michelle Tyrrell Wedding – 2011
James Wilson was absolutely fantastic and we have had our mates and family calling all week asking if he has CD’s available. He got everyone involved and dancing from our seven year neice to our eighty year old grandma’s!! Thanks so much.
Chantelle & Mick Grasso Wedding – 2010
We had a fabulous night and as I am a firm believer that it is always the music that ‘makes’ the night I suppose I owe all the credit to you. So many of the guests have commented on how perfect you were and how well you read the situation. Anyone can play a guitar (I even go as far as to say anyone with that guitar could stick a didgeridoo in their mouth whilst they’re doing it!!) but not everyone can tap into the mood and energy of a room like you did. That’s talent.
James, we would travel to the far ends of the earth to see you again (by that I mean south of the river) but do you think you could do the ‘odd’ gig back up our way 😉Thank you so much once again for your time and effort.
